Make Your Own Sports Drink



What you'll need:

1/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup orange juice
1/4 cup hot water
2 tablespoons lemon juice
3 1/2 cups cold water

The steps:
- Dissolve the sugar and salt in the hot water
- Add in the remaining ingredients and cold water

That's all :) The drink contains about 50 calories and 110 mg of sodium per 8 ounces, approximately the same as for most sports drinks!

Alternative recipe:

You'll need:
- 1/2 litre of fruit juice (orange, or the like)
- 1/2 litre of ice cold water
- 2 regular spoons of sport drink powder (Gatorade, Isostar, etc.)

Shake the ingredients for 2 minutes and you have a sports drink :)
